Children of Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed inaugurate the Art Dubai 2019 ladies’ day

·         Art Dubai is an international event that emphasizes exemplary values embedded within Emirati society through activities that encourage open dialogue and cultural exchange.

The children of HH Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs; Sheikha Fatima, Sheikh Hamdan, and Sheikha Latifa, inaugurated the 2019 Art Dubai ladies’ day, in line with encouraging women and children’s participation in cultural and artistic events.

The ladies’ day, organized under the patronage of HH Sheikha Manal bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, President of the UAE Gender Balance Council, President of Dubai Women Establishment and wife of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, underscores the status of women in the UAE and the importance of providing enhancing their access to the latest artistic activities and creative events. The participation of the children of HH Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed also aims to raise awareness about the role of art in self-expression and the nurturing of creativity at a young age.

During their visit, the children of HH Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan were acquainted with the different sections of the thirteenth edition of Art Dubai, which is taking place in Madinat Jumeirah from 20-23 March 2019.  They participated in a workshop under the Sheikha Manal Little Artists Program, and took part in the program’s ‘Discovery Tours’ led by local and international artists throughout Art Dubai.

Reflecting on the importance and relevance of Art Dubai, HH stated: “Over the expanse of 12 years, Art Dubai has undergone notable development and has distinguished itself as one of the most exemplary art exhibitions in its size and the variety of artwork and artists featured. Art Dubai includes interactive workshops and artistic programs that positively reflect the arts movement in the UAE and establishes the UAE as a nurturer of innovation and creativity across all fields, in line with the future vision of our wise leadership. Art Dubai is an international event that emphasizes exemplary values embedded within Emirati society through activities that encourage open dialogue and cultural exchange.”

The Sheikha Manal Little Artists Program is among Art Dubai’s most prominent programs, as it focuses on young artists who represent the current and future landscape of the arts scene in the UAE. The seventh edition of the program features American artist Sally Curcio, who will conduct a children’s workshop under the theme “Creating New Worlds” with the participation of apprentice artists from the UAE.
