612,000 transactions conducted through Dubai Police smart app and website since January 2020

Brigadier Khalid Nasser Al Razooqi, the Director General of Artificial Intelligence at Dubai Police, said the total number of transactions processed through the Dubai Police smart app since January 2020 has reached 234,194. Meanwhile, a total of 377,953 transactions were processed through Dubai Police’s official website during the same period.

The National Sterilisation Programme

Brigadier Al Razooqi said since the start of the implementation of the National Sterilisation Programme in Dubai on 26 March, the Dubai Police application and website have seen high levels of usage from customers seeking to complete their transactions swiftly and easily. He further said the number of transactions made since the start of the Programme reached 157,273. These included 43,492 transactions processed via the Dubai Police smart application and 113,781 processed through the website.

Going Smart

Brigadier Al Razooqi pointed out that customer usage of Dubai Police’s smart application and website contributed to a 38.5% decrease in the number of transactions submitted in person across its customer happiness centres. Since the beginning of 2020, Dubai Police’s customer happiness centres processed 76,061 transactions compared to 132,750 in the same period last year.

Payment of Traffic Fines

Brigadier Al Razooqi confirmed that the number of transactions involving traffic fine payment completed via the Dubai Police smart app and website in the period between the beginning of the year and 3 May reached 200,558. These included 27,045 transactions processed during the National Sterilisation Programme.

Accident Reports

According to Brig. Al Razooqi, customers filed 38,015 traffic and unknown accident reports between the beginning of the year and 3 May. These included 4,878 reports received during the National Sterilisation Programme.

Police Eye

Brig. Al Razooqi further said that the Police Eye service received 82,684 reports between the beginning of the year and 3 May. Among these, 8,479 reports were received during the National Sterilisation Programme. He explained that the service, available for users on the Dubai Police App, allows members of the society to report illegal behaviour and suspicious actions, contributing to raising security in the community and preventing crime.
