On behalf of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum inaugurated the first regular term of the 17th Legislative Chapter of the Federal National Council (FNC). Sheikh Mohammed delivered the inaugural speech.
Following the opening ceremony, FNC’s senior member Ali Jassem delivered a speech on behalf of FNC members.
The session convened in Abu Dhabi in the presence of Crown Prince of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince of Ajman His Highness Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Fujairah His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Umm Al Quwain His Highness Sheikh Rashid bin Saud bin Rashid Al Mualla and Crown Prince of Ras Al Khaimah His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi.
The ceremony was also attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Managing Director of Abu Dhabi Investment Authority His Highness Sheikh Hamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance His Highness Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan and a number of senior officials, military leaders and heads of diplomatic missions.
