His Highness Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Border Security Council, today honoured Captain Eissa Ahmed Al Mutawa, Director of the Monitoring and Inspection Department of Dubai Civil Defense (DCD), for his leadership in developing an artificial intelligence-enabled fire readiness programme, in the presence of His Excellency Lieutenant General Expert Rashid Thani Al Matrooshi, Director General of Dubai Civil Defense.
The ceremony to honour the DCD official was held on the sidelines of Intersec 2023, the global exhibition for security, emergency services, fire protection, safety, policing and cybersecurity, which opened at the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) today.
Captain Eissa Ahmed Khurshid Al Mutawa led the development of the pre-emptive fire management system, which uses artificial intelligence to analyse past incidents and recommend changes to avoid future events. After analysing all fire incidents, the system sends awareness and actionable messages addressing the most common reasons to avoid future incidents.
