Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan announced a new national project aimed at sharing the story of the United Arab Emirates with the world.
The Nation Brand project will reflect the unique values of the UAE and narrate its story to the world.
“We will form a team of 49 Emirati artists, seven from each emirate, to design the UAE's new nation brand logo, before the end of this year, to share our story with the world. A new identity to mark the beginning of a new decade,” His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid said.
“As long as our identity is strong and influential in the media in such a way that reflects our experience, we can motivate millions to be inspired by our development drive. UAE is a land of opportunity, a land where dreams are realised. This is our story that deserves to be told to the world,” His Highness added.
Joining the Ruler of Dubai in highlighting the importance of UAE’s Nation Brand, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed said that the UAE exemplifies a bold success story and an inspiring journey of development that surpassed its geographical boundaries and became a role model for other countries to follow.
“The design of a Nation Brand identity will convey this experience to the whole world as a model of progress that different communities can draw inspiration from on their way to advancement and development,” His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed said.
“We want to tell the story of our development, positivity, and determination to the world. The UAE has become an important player on the world stage in terms of economy and culture. UAE’s Nation Brand will bolster our country’s influence and soft power even further,” His Highness added.
Just as Canada’s maple tree leaf and New Zealand’s silver fern symbol, nation brand identity is the visible sign of any country that is used to convey values, distinction, and uniqueness of a country in a form of a visual symbol or slogan that can be used by all sectors to help share humanitarian and cultural components with the world.
