Mohammed bin Rashid attends opening session of 29th Arab Summit in Saudi Arabia

Dubai, 15 April 2018:Vice President, Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum headed the UAE delegation attending 29th Arab Summit which started today its ordinary session at King Abdulaziz International Cultural Center in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia.

At the outset of the summit, verses from the Holy Quran were recited. Then, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz delivered a speech in which he welcomed all attendees in their second country, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, wishing the summit every success.

"I thank King Abdullah II of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan for his distinct efforts during his chairing the previous session. I also thank the Secretary General and all staff of the Arab League for their great efforts," the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques said.

"The Palestinian Cause is our first issue and will remain so until the Palestinian people obtain all their legitimate rights, particularly the establishment of an independent state with East Al-Quds as its capital," King Salman added.

The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques reiterates condemnation and rejection of the United States Administration's decision on Jerusalem, lauding the international consensus rejecting the US decision. "We emphasize that East Al-Quds is an integral part of the Palestinian territory," King Salman affirmed.

On Yemen, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques affirms commitment to Yemen's unity, sovereignty, independence, security and territorial integrity.
